Synchronizing Offline Data

Synchronizing offline data refers to the process of merging the data that has been collected or modified in an offline environment with the corresponding online data. Synchronization is crucial because it ensures the application data is accurate and up-to-date. To synchronize the offline data,

  1. Click More on the home screen and then click the searchIcon icon at the top right. The Settings screen appears as shown below.

  2. Click Offline. The Offline settings screen appears.

  3. Perform any of the following actions:

    • Enable/Disable Auto Sync field for automatic synchronization of offline data for all the modules at once

    • Use the Sync option corresponding to a module to manually synchronize data for the particular module. Perform the following steps for manual synchronization:

      i. Click the searchIcon (vertical ellipse) icon corresponding to the module whose data must be synchronized.

      ii. Click Sync from the options that appear at the bottom of the screen.

      Once the data is synchronized successfully the module status appears as shown below.

      If not, an error message appears corresponding to the module as shown below.

The application displays the last synchronized date and time for each module listed in this screen. You can use the View Offline Records for a detailed view of the synchronization logs.

Note: The and icons indicate the success and failure events, respectively.

In addition, by clicking More at the bottom of the Summary screen of a record, you can perform certain synchronization activities specific to the record.

You can,

  • Synchronize the offline changes using the Update Offline Record option.
  • View the sync logs using the View Log option.
