Ops Vision — User Guide

Overview​

Ops Vision generates structured operational insights from facility data. Admins and Manager Admins define the data source, scope, and a natural language prompt describing the analysis required. The platform generates the insight in an editable state. Insights become permanent once published and cannot be modified or deleted.

Where to Find It​

  1. Click the Observation icon in the left side panel
  2. The Ops Vision module opens
  3. Click Create Insight to begin

How to Use It​

Creating an Insight​

There are two ways to start — from scratch or from a template.

Path A: Start from Scratch​

  1. Click Create Insight and select Start from Scratch
  2. Choose a Scope Variable: All, Site, or Building — this determines how broadly the insight looks at data
  3. Select the data sources to analyze
  4. Write a prompt describing the insight you want to generate (e.g., "Identify peak energy consumption periods across all sites")
  5. Click Generate

Path B: Use a Template​

  1. Click Create Insight and select Use a Template
  2. Choose a template from the available options
  3. Select a Scope Variable: All, Site, or Building
  4. Set a Schedule (Optional): enable the Schedule Insight toggle to automate the run on a Daily, Weekly, or Monthly frequency
  5. Select the data sources to analyze
  6. Review and customise the pre-filled prompt if needed
  7. Click Generate

Refine and Publish​

  1. Review the generated insight — it opens in edit state, where you can still make changes
  2. Refine the output by modifying the prompt, requesting a regeneration, or iterating until you're satisfied
  3. When ready, click Publish

Important: Once published, an insight is permanent. It cannot be unpublished, edited, or deleted. Take time to review before publishing.

Real-World Example​

A Manager Admin needs to identify energy consumption patterns across three sites:

  1. Clicks Create Insight → selects Start from Scratch
  2. Sets Scope Variable to All to cover all sites
  3. Selects energy usage and equipment operational data as sources
  4. Enters the prompt: "Identify peak consumption periods and flag anomalies"
  5. Generates the insight, reviews the output, and refines the prompt to focus on specific equipment types
  6. Regenerates twice to get the right result
  7. Clicks Publish — the insight is now permanent and available for the team to reference

Limitations & Considerations​

Publishing Is IrreversibleOnce an insight is published, it cannot be edited or deleted. If changes are needed, a new insight must be created.
Role RestrictionsOnly Manager Admins can create insights; other Admin roles can view but not generate new ones.
Scope Is Fixed at CreationScope Variable is set at creation and cannot be changed after publishing.
Web OnlyOps Vision is available on web only — mobile is not supported.
