Overview
The application allows the administrators to decommission entities such as a site, building, floor, space, and asset. Applying decommissioning settings to an entity suspends the operations of the entity, including associated functions like work orders, service requests, inspections, inductions, planned preventive maintenance (PPM), inspection templates, induction templates, and safety plans. However, a decommissioned entity can be reactivated as needed by performing a recommissioning process, thus restoring accessibility to users.
For instance, an HVAC system is outdated and consumes excessive energy in a facility. You can temporarily deactivate the system by decommissioning it. Subsequently, once a new HVAC system is installed, you can recommission and make it available to users once again.
