Vendor Management

Vendor management is a basic component of Facility Management. By definition, it means outsourcing of a task, process or operation for a specific period of time. Although the essential resources to manage a facility are available in-house with the Facility Management team, a facility manager may have to outsource certain services that are complicated and require advanced solutions. Vendor management generally falls into two broad categories - traditional procurement that involves a defined scope of work, and partner/alliance that helps with flexibility, better and faster services for specific operations.
