Working with Workflows

The Workflows module of the application allows you to create and maintain workflow rules that are applied over certain operations (like, creating or modifying a record) in the selected module. The various aspects of a workflow rule are configured as a part of the workflow creation process.

In order to navigate to this module click the (Settings) icon and select Workflows under the AUTOMATION section. The Workflows screen appears as shown below, where the list of all the workflows in the selected module are displayed.

The upcoming sections explain how to create a new workflow, how to configure the aspects of it and so on.

Creating a Workflow

The workflow rules are created to automate the process of sending email notifications, assigning tasks and updating certain fields of a record in response to activities like creating or modifying records in the selected module, when the specified conditions are met.

Configuring Workflow Parameters

Workflows can be configured for all system defined modules and custom modules, to be executed upon certain conditions. That is, the actions configured as a part of the workflow are executed when they meet the specified criteria.

There are certain icons or functionalities associated with this section that facilitate various other activities.
