Overview

OData is a web protocol acting as an inter-app navigator, carrying data from one app to another. Facilio comes up with its own API, tailored using the widely agreed OData standards for data access to expose its data to other applications. In other words, through an OData API layer, Facilio makes its data accessible to BI tools, applications, and other systems.

The OData API module of the application facilitates configuring remote access (through OData) to the Facilio dashboard from popular analytical tools (like Tableau, Power BI, and Domo) by simple point-and-click configuration. It allows you to pass the connected readings and module data separately. The application authorizes the access request at the OData end-point through an application-generated API key. You can access only the permitted info and customize its visualization based on the features and possible settings of the tool chosen.
