Configuring Actions

Actions are the outcome of inconsistencies that invite an escalation. Configuring action is choosing the means of communication to the concerned users in case of an escalation. This section explains the configuration of possible actions to trigger as a result of executing an escalation process at the occurrence of a breach.

Click Add Action against the Actions field in the Escalation configuration screen (shown above) and select any of the following options:

  • Send Email - An email is triggered to the configured list of users

  • Field Update - The value of the selected field is updated to the configured or defined value, when the breach is observed

Example: A sample scenario is shown below.
Here, upon identifying a breach the Priority of the record will be updated to High.
  • Send Mobile Notification - A push notification is triggered to the configured users on their phone

  • Execute Script - The configured script is executed when the breach occurs. Read the Script Guide for details on working with scripts.

  • Change Status - The status of the selected record is updated to the configured or defined value, on occurrence of the breach.

Example: A sample configuration is shown below.
Here, on occurrence of the breach, the status of the record is updated to 'Manager Review'.
Note: You can use the icon and Reset option to modify the configured settings and remove the configuration, respectively.
